This mushroom toast is always a crowd-pleaser. I learned this recipe from my friend Mike, who owns Convivial Spices. He has amazing spices, smoked salts, and seasoning blends. This recipe calls for Sizzle seasoning, which contains garlic, salt, black pepper, and parsley.
ENTERTAINING, INDULGENCE, PLANT-BASED, VEGAN
1 slice sourdough bread
1 Maitake mushroom (3.5 oz)
1 tsp Sizzle spice
2 tbsp creme fresh (optional)
chive to garnish
Toast sourdough bread until golden.
In a cast-iron skillet, saute mushrooms until golden brown. Combine with sizzle spice and Crème fraîche.
Plate mushrooms over sourdough and finish with fresh chives.
